As my Twitter followers know, I open my weight on Twitter. Well, recently I tweet about my weight only. It effects my behavior a little. If it's getting up it's opened in an instant, so I came to take care my weigh more than before. Therefore, these tweets can naturally control my eating habits, because my scale automatically open my weight by using my twitter account. Activity using social networking like this scale will increase unbelievably. How we use it, that's the problem.

Obesity is harmful for health, so how to stop becoming fat? It's a problem. In an extreme case, people can stop becoming fat if people stop eating, but it can cause another health problem like nutritional deficiency. Therefore, in order to lose weight healthfully, people must live a healthy life, it means everyday people should eat a frugal meal like hospital food. It's harmful for your mind, doesn't it? I think we need more natural method to live healthy.

I thought up an idea from yesterday's article, becoming fatter is similar to drug. In other words, people start to become fat with a little heart and gradually they can't stop falling overweight for flash pleasure, and finally dreadful results are waiting after a long lazy time. Of course the dreadfulness of that result is different from drug's real severe result at all, but that's why many people became obesity. However, obesity has been come to known as cause of various serious illness.

Chunichi Doragons, a Japanese baseball team, general manager announced that chief coach will be fired. That chief coach, his name is Ochiai is one of baseball genius (I don't know baseball so much though I can understand he is genius or not.), so his achievement in his career is amazing and his achievement as a coach is also amazing. Therefore, it's a crazy thing, considering his result. I guess he and players in his team couldn't accept that fact, so they tried to say fuck to general manager by achieving result, and they won the championship of Japanese Baseball central league. They're great.

As I said previous post, I think young generation have a destiny to get robbed by older generation. There are many reasons triggering that and unequal and deceitful pension system is the major factor of that. We need to adopt several drastic policies to solve this problem. One of my idea is changing election system. Now single seat electoral districts is divided by geographical boundaries. It has been the most important factor making discriminative gap, but now that generation gap is as important as geographical difference. Therefore, candidates should be elected as a opinion leader of generation. It means that candidates are elected by their age. It's a delusional dream but already we need it.

Now young new yorkers are fighting on the Wall Street. Their demonstration is spreading all over the world. Japanese famous blogger mentioned about this demonstration here, I don't agree with his idea about what they advocate, but I agree with his idea about Japanese inequality. The most unequal difference in Japan is generation gap. This gap related with pension, employment and education, I think.

Unfortunately, we Japanese people must help this fucking system exploiting future generation. Compulsion is because this system was for the war effort, so people couldn't refuse. When we became 20 years old, we are pushed to participate. Thus they gathered money from a large amount of people, so the budget of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare was enormous. They that had not had financial base got financial flexibility with this money and they started to waste money spectacularly. For example, they made many resort facilities with haphazard planning and that facilities couldn't earn money, so they sold them unbelievable low price. There are more waste, I won't write down their details but they are awful too. Who can follow this ministry's imposition in this situation.

Honestly speaking, Japan's pension system was destined to collapse from the very beginning. It's because that's clearly so called ponzi scheme. Japanese Social Insurance Agency is gathering insurance money from people by never realizing proposal. They made basic policy of the Japanese Social insurance based on Japan's growing rate at that time. Then, Japan was on the boom times, so it was monstrous number. I think they must know it, but they started to gather money by attractive plan. Now all developed countries are facing low birthrate problem. We can't keep this system anymore.

Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare submitted three proposal about pension system. Now Japan is on the way of rising in pension eligibility age to 65years old, but considering Japan's current financial condition it's hard and slow. Then they proposed (1)every two years to rise pension eligibility age (2)to rise it till 68 years old (3)to execute both proposal.

As same as other countries, Japan is facing financial crisis, and the major cause of it is, I think, pension system. Japan is one of the most aged society, but still pension system is giving much preferential treatment to older people. Therefore, this is natural consequence of the present situation. We should think this problem for the future generation.

That Japanese government's decision will seems to cost 100 trillion yen. Can you believe it? That amount of money is easily over Japanese national budget.

Why this kind of things happen is easy, people can't trust invisible things. Obviously we can't see radioactive materials because it's too small to see. It also doesn't have any smell, color and taste.

Currently scientific consensus is saying that difference of dangerousness between 20mSv/year and 1mSv/year doesn't have statistical significance. If it had, 20mSv/year risk of cancer would be 1.0128times as much as normal, 1mSv/year risk of cancer would be 1.00064times as much as normal. It means the most dangerous point of nuclear decontamination is to threaten people's peace of mind.

Newspaper announced that Japanese government decided to broaden out geographical areas of nuclear decontamination. This decision has a lot of meaning. At first area that air dose rate is over 20mSv/year was target of decontamination but new limit is over 1mSv/year, it's unbelievable number. It's because even in Osaka where didn't have any trouble related with terrible earthquake in Tohoku area, air dose rate is over 1mSv/year.

Apple knows importance of fusion of hardware and software, so they keep on developing both of them at any cost. Honestly I don't think Lion the newest Mac OS is good yet, but I know they'll fix it. Therefore, I can use it with immovable heart. If they lost this confidence might be the time I would stop to buy new Apple's product. I think an impact of Apple's great loss can affect this point only, because Steve did never design and program.

New iOS for iPhone, iPad and iPod, iOS 5 will be launched soon. I believe that it will bring us more better user experience. I'm looking forward to it.

If one software is made for one hardware, it's obvious that that hardware can maximize its performance. I reminded this simple but powerful discipline by reading an old blog post. This blog post introduced great experience of F1 Japan GP 2009 in Suzuka. Why I read this post is easy, I love Suzuka, my home town.

The author said that on a point of fusion between hardware and software Suzuka circuit owned by Honda completely overtake Fuji speedway owned by Toyota. He lined up good points of Suzuka especially in case of software, but Suzuka people never forget it lost the right to hold F1 Japan GP in 2007. The major reason of it was hardware, in case of circuit course Fuji speedway was better than Suzuka, so we had to be compelled to abandon the right. Therefore, both way are totally important.

This attitude shows their company's character. Microsoft is pure software maker as shown by its name. They don't think making hardware makes large amount of money. Google is standing on Internet, so google make their OS as a entrance of Internet. They don't care about its form. Internet is ruled by Google. Apple is a computer hardware maker that is making operation system for their own hardware. Other major OS maker like Microsoft and Google don't make their own computer hardware. A great person who I respect a lot passed away. Finally I couldn't meet with him, but I used many products he produced. Through using those cool, intelligent, innovative & well designed products, I can imagine future world he'd like to create. He produced many progressive computer, they are really great, each of them is the master-piece in the Design history. However, I think his best product is Apple inc., a truly creative company. There are no doubt that apple is one of the most creative company ever. My professor also worked as a designer in Apple. Therefore, Apple is a perfect example for me.

I will buy his latest product, iPhone 4S. This S is not Super's S, this is Steve's S. It's a kind of keepsake from him, it will impress me a lot as well as other Apple's products.

I think true products also can have their own aura. I guess it depends on my experience but this experience might depend on Japanese specific animism. Sometimes I can understand aura from photo of products, and also sometimes I feel it after I touch products.

For example, a paper knife designed by my professor, the name is "Fluctus". It has something. Its form is very simple, from top view it is traversable. I don't know why this simple form has aura. I can't express with my words, but at any rate, it has. This is interesting point of design.

From this time, I've been trying to emit aura. Now I can control it in order to make kids obey my words if I'm in a situation I have to do so. It took a long time. Originally I couldn't emit it any more, but I gradually learned it since I had gotten used to that job. I studied importance of aura, when I taught soccer to kids with a Japanese legend striker, Kunishige Kamamoto. At that time, I didn't get used to coach's work because then I was just getting started that job. Now that I've given it some thought, it was really lucky chance.

Around that time, kids didn't obey my words, even gathering them took five or more times because they talked with each other, ran around and toyed with sand, even if I shouted. However, legend did not even utter a word, only showed his appearance. It was clearly aura, something was behind his back. All kids made beautiful lines without chatting really quickly.

I think leadership is not a skill for only people who stand at the forefront. Not only a team leader but also team members can exercise their own leadership. I'm thinking leadership is a skill to lead a team, an organization or a project to victory, success or development. In order to lead a group to its object, members' each role are always different. It's because members' strong points are different and they have an aptitude for each roles.

I studied this concept when I was playing soccer in my high school team. I was a vice captain of the team though, there were skillful members who suit for that position. They knew soccer, had technique, physical abilities and leadership more than me. However, for our team I was better for a flagperson than others. I'm thinking leadership might be a supreme loyalty to a group.

I said we need to stop be afraid of making mistakes, it's same for children. As you know, I am a coach, a kind of soccer teacher, so I must make them try and not to be afraid of making mistakes. However it's difficult because of an unexpected reason. The reason was me regrettably. I found myself saying, "Hey you! Do like me. It's easy way to do that." That boy followed me with smiling without making his own mistakes. After teaching him, I eventually realized that I taught my way to him.

It was a big surprise for me, because I had been au user but I bought iPhone from softbank another Japanese rental radio wave company because au didn't sell it. However, I and other Japanese iPhone user are suffering from softbank's weak and unsteady radio wave, on the other hand au's radio wave is stronger and more steady than softbank's, so I want to change.

Now au is doing Android au campaign, my younger brother have an Android au cellar phone, and it will sell windows phone 7.5 as the only company in Japan. It means au can sell three major mobile OS. I bought a torus shape cushion for my own certain reason. It has one hole, that hole is just different point from normal cushion, but this hole has a lot of functions. One of those functions made me happy, it helped me a lot.

A shape of torus is topologically different from a shape of sphere. One hole is also distinct mathematically. In topology, a cube and a sphere are the same things. If a sphere gets one hole, it become totally different things from a cube. In my case, torus shape made difference.

Actually old computer is bottle neck

Yesterday old windows PC had gone. We used that computer for over 10 years, so it might be its destiny. If it was true destiny, we didn't have any other alternative but accepting.

The problem is that it acted irreplaceable role in our lab. Only that computer could control a particular equipment, so we faced one of fatal crisis, due to only one computer's destruction. All members in my lab are Mac users but bottle neck was one old windows PC. Old software can't be supported so long time, thanks to merits of Moore's law, so we couldn't avoid this situation. I guess like this situation can occur in any place, but we can't avoid. Only one solution is do not depend on computer so much.

I was affected by this article. I strongly agree with this article's point that Japan has still strong power and Japan is appreciated by people in many countries.

I thought it in Korea, when I stayed there to study abroad. Young people like Japan and Japanese culture. Thanks to that, I could be popular. Not only professor who studied in Japan to get Ph.D degree but also several students could speak Japanese better than foreign students in Osaka University. Their study Japanese because they want to see Japanese drama or comic. I was surprised at the fact that they knew Japanese pop culture better than me.

Japan and Japanese culture have a lot of good points, people in the world know it except Japanese people. We have to realize it.

We need non-critical medical tool's innovation

My friend suddenly said that there is an interesting opportunity for better design in the non-critical medical device market. I agree with his opinion with all of my heart. I believe that healthcare reform should be started from non-critical medical field. For example, if we can make a large information platform used by a lot of people in non-critical field, if it is easy to use, if it can be accessed by any devices securely and if it is held by patients (there can be other requirements though), it can take electronic health record inside.

It's because Japanese healthcare system is catastrophically rigid, hard to use and there are crowded standard. It was excellent system but it can't respond to change. We can't make an innovation for medical system any more from inside of it. It needs destructive innovation from outside.

I knew it but today I realized again that the customer service of bank was fu○○ing useless. I couldn't understand why they require after I had submitted what they didn't require before. And moreover, I never understand why they took so long to receive only one document. I send it one week ago, they called me today, about only one document. In spite of that, they close at three o'clock, I feel they are crazy. Who can go to bank till 3 o'clock?

Talking about the dream

Talking about the dream is a supply to live lively, and moreover friends who talk together are important for beautiful life.

Someone said on the TED conference that talking about the dream to others is not good for realizing it because people think it came to realize if they talk it to others, so they can lose strong motivation. Therefore, he alerted we should stop doing it, but I don't agree with him.

Surely it might have not only minus effect but also plus effect. I think dream can be crystallized by talking to others. The solution of minus effect is easy, try to not lose strong motivation when talking about the dream is the solution. Therefore, friends who keep motivation is really important.

I held a large drinking party with kids and their parents in my soccer school for our good communication. Then, beer makes us big mouth. I got acquainted with people who have a friendship with Hillary Rodham Clinton. In case of me, my weight became 70kg. (Real weight is 73~75kg.)

Now I'm reading Head First published by O'REILLY to study computer programming language. Head First is a book for learners who want to learn programming language. It contains a lot of funky images and illustrations, its looks seems not to be a text book but it is surely text book.

I was impressed by this book. I thought it's a kind of trial for education. Looks is not serious but writers are serious (I thought), because this book is really thick but they showed their unified posture till the last page.

I believe Education should be more free and many way to teach should be existing in this diversified society, but Japanese education system is feudalistic and procrustean. Every children has different name, character and feature, so teaching way should be diversified. For that teachers must have a receptive attitude, but it is good also for teachers to study from their students.

I read his book about car design, this words are written in it. He is a CCO(Chief Creative Officer) of NISSAN Motor. At the first of this book, he declared he is a designer who don't make idea sketch. It means that if he makes idea sketches he can try to actualize it because he is a leader of design section. He believes that an idea integrating many designer's thought and passion is better than his own idea. Therefore, he throw himself into the role as a leader who lead about 800 designers.

He said that roles of leader is similar to roles of orchestra's conductors. Conductors don't play instruments, but they make a beautiful sounds by organizing each sounds of instruments. I hear someone said that the orchestra sounds are totally different if a conductor is different. Conductor tells his feeling to orchestra at practice time, and he makes his own melody by doing so. I want to be a leader, that words affected me a lot.

Why was new prime minster's article inside my bookmark folder? It was his manifest and vision about education. I felt it's good so I saved it. The summary of it was that education policy must consist of three, "Freedom of choice", "Competition principle" and "Self-responsibility". I think it's hard to be completed but it's really attractive. Some of it are the same of my policy to teach in my soccer school.

He is not second generation politician and ex-bureaucrat, he worked his way up to the prime minister. I don't know if new problems occur, he can clear it or not, but if only current problem I think he can easily overcome before one and the one before.

This is not fresh topic but I take, as you know the Japanese Prime minister was changed again. Before one and the one before that seemed to be Japanese shames (It's a really strong word but Google search engine say so, in other word, many people think so.), so the things will be better.

Why I take this topic is that I found new prime minister's name Yoshihiko Noda in my bookmark folder. I couldn't understand why because I didn't think he could win the presidential election of democratic party because of his obscurity. When Maehara declared candidate, I thought it had done. However he won and I didn't know him at all.

Surprise! Finally this blog has grown to that be requested to write a reviewing post by a software vender. I can't believe this, I never though I'd see the day.

That software name is JCopia that seems like to capture flash video and audio from websites. Why I used "seems like" is that I don't know that software. I'm not a man to write a review without using it, but I can't use that software at all. The answer is easy, it's compatible with windows OS only. As you know, I'm definitely a Mac OS user, I don't have any plan to use windows OS now, at least till my graduation, it means 1 and half a year later.

Disaster country

The large typhoon struck Japan. Due to this typhoon, parts of Mie which is my hometown prefecture was submerged. I guess it was really severe but they know the countermeasure and they've already escaped, I believe.

This typhoon slung up that Japan has a lot of disaster, earthquake and following tsunami, typhoon and volcano(recently it's no happen though). As you know, the Great East Japan Earthquake is still fresh in our minds. I think Japan is one of the countries that have the largest number of disaster. However, Japanese people got more sophisticated countermeasure and enduring attitude thanks to disaster. I have to learn something from this time typhoon.

This is old story in my life, my senior in my previous laboratory who dropped out said me at his graduation, "I wanted to be more smart so I read many books, I never lose the number of books I read. However, I found I had been senseless. The important point is not the input but the output. Finally I understood it at around three months prior to graduation time. I was failed but I found, so I don't want you to make the same mistake."

I don't remember the detail but almost it's correct. Honestly I didn't respect him at all but those words impressed me a lot at that time. If I feel distress about output, I used to remember his words. In other words, recently it's hard to write this blog because of idealess.

There is a English proverb to convince people to wake up early in morning. In Japan there is a proverb that has the same meaning of the title proverb.

Why is to wake up early important? Why ancient people didn't say it's important to stay up late? I guess it's the truth but it's not only the truth. When I get to the core of it, to control own sleeping is the important for us. In my case, I try it everyday but it's difficult because human body needs minimum sleeping time.

My roommate changed his hair color gold. I don't know his intention but sometime he do like this thing. I knew his face, his look and his figure because you know I live with him, every morning saying hello. However, after changing hair color I couldn't recognize him soon.

I was really surprised at that. Only hair color change made me confused. I don't think his identity was black hair, but I missed. Therefore, drastic change in one part can make change whole impression. It leads to everything. Anything can be changed by small but radical change in people's impression. This function can be used for good or bad things.

There is one weird rule among Ph.D candidates. It's like this they must submit some papers to international journal, take peer review and they must have some published papers before getting a degree. Maybe you can't understand its weirdness. The weirdness of this rule is everyone knows this rule but everyone doesn't know its detail.

Someone said they need to have three published paper on international journal, it's the most hardest one to clear, and another person said they need to have two published paper on any journal and one international oral presentation.

I think its essence is to get objectivity. Honestly speaking, Ph.D degree is given by one subject professor, but it must be confirmed by university. However they can't understand edge research on other major field. So, they farmed out judging to professional journal. In other words, the difference of the details of the rule is depend on individual thinking on the guarantee of objectivity. I was freaked out by this rule, my mind was cleared.

How to make time? We can never do that essentially. We have no choice but to throw away something if you want time to focus on the others.

As you know, it's one of our lab's main theme. We want to make progress on medical field by using photonics technology. Photon has lots of excellent features for medical. X-ray is the most understandable example, it is used for image diagnosis all over the world.

Rontgen had changed the world at all by finding the existence of X-ray. Many years passed after he found it, still we feel uncomfortableness when we have an X-ray examination. Reunion event2

It was the first time for me to join a reunion event of elementary school. I couldn't talk with others aggressively because I didn't have any clue to start talking except "What are you doing now?", but it also couldn't make conversation long. I guess the reason I couldn't talk nicely with them is lack of sharing time. We shared 6 years experience each other but it might be too old.

On the other hand, I shared long time with junior high school friends. Thanks to regular organizer, we gather together annually to talk about our future. Even if they are just blue-collor worker, they are dreamer and holding a spirit of willingness. Therefore, I can talk with them like a sparring.

I found that talking about future or dream is interesting and talking about past is nostalgic but not interesting. I have to fill my time to talk about my future with dreamer people.

I had two reunion event in a day on this weekend. It was a little bit hard but interesting experience than I expected. One is the reunion of elementary school and the other is reunion of junior high school, interesting points were similarity and difference of them.

Diabetes disease usually forms a hotbed of obesity. Actually obesity is one of dangerous situation. Obesity is the risk factor of heart disease and cerebral stroke directly. These two diseases are three major causes of death in Japan. The first cause of death in Japan is, as you know, cancer. Obesity is said to be the risk factor of cancer.

However, some people can't stop becoming fat, I think it's because it depends on their daily lifestyle as I said on other articles. To change daily things is really difficult, if it's not there are no diet books in the world. It's similar to writing a blog post everyday. Writing one post is not difficult but if it accumulate it must be difficult.

I'm estimating that there are more fat people than now in the future, because foods get delicious and oily, and societies get matured so people don't need to be worried about their foods. I heard that low-income class people are fatter than high income class people in US. It's clearly thanks to the vast fast food industry.

Diabetes disease affects not only individual's health but also national finance.

There are a lot of diabetic patients, the number of patients is around 2.5 million people, general estimate is over 8 million. Most of them have already become over 60, so they don't need to spend 90% of their healthcare cost in Japanese law.

I don't want to criticize Japanese policy about social security at all, I respect it rather than that. However, in current situation it need to be modified.

From my image to this genre, it's slow tempo, without lyric and like easy listening. "Ambient" is an English word, so for me, a Japanese guy, not native English speaker, it's unnatural sound. My presentation

We exhibited our professor's works and held an orientation for high school students who want to enter the Osaka University in OPEN CAMPUS 2011.

I made my presentation to visitors all the while this event. I was in charge of advertising Osaka university, but I didn't do that so much, rather than that, I stated "Don't come Osaka university (without clear object)". My points are simple, think yourself, look outside and act now only three points. They are similar to my elementary school soccer team's principle.

From my experience, I think many Japanese people(high school students and parents especially mothers who have their young kids) evaluate that an university entrance examination determine whole human life. This fucking thinking way confines young teen's possibility so much. The most important point that I think now is to understand own purpose and own role.

Many students listened me carefully. It's my pleasure if they got a seed to think something different from the past.

Barcelona and Real Madrid

It's not too much to say that these two teams are the most strongest soccer teams in the world. Members, popularity, history, money and coach are in excellent level, and they are fateful rivals.

From the viewpoint of leadership, these top two teams are really interesting because of the difference of their coach's character. I think team captain's leadership and coach's leadership is qualitatively different, as I stated previously. Therefore, in order to research what is leadership, I must think of them separately.

Currently my interest points coach's leadership because, as you know, I'm a coach of elementary school soccer team. It's the first experience in my life. That position needs totally different skill and mentality from past position. Really interesting.

I think a chief coach of a soccer team is a modern general. It's because soccer is one of the most strategical sports in the world. A high degree of freedom hide causes of events and a lot of members make it difficult to control a team.

It means presentation skills are totally different.

I think there are two types of leaders. One is the first prosecutor the other is the largest visionist. Prosecutor is like a soccer team's captain who shows his back to his teammates. Visionist is like a soccer team's coach who decides everything and instead of that he or she has all responsibility. From this discussion I thought, for becoming visionist presentation skills are one of the most important skill. Leaders must make people obey his or her words. If two leaders are saying different opinion, judgement point is only presentation.

Their presentation slides are both too bad, but Masayoshi Son's talking skill more than made up for it. It needs quick mind and mental speed because situation is always changing. Knowledge can help but essentially the most important point is habituation to that kinds of situation. Yoshito Hori was looked so nervous but Masayoshi Son was looked having confident.

I thought of ideas in order to get that kinds of skill. We will try to practice and show presentation again and again. My conclusion finally shows common things. However it's important. for getting presentation skills and becoming new generation's leader we must train hard over and over.

I watched discussion about Japanese energy policy on Friday. It gave me a thinking about what is important point for leaders.

Participants are Masayoshi Son, the CEO of Softbank and Yoshito Hori the president of globis. They talked on twitter to have a long enthusiastic discussion about Japanese energy policy, many follower took notice about it. It's because Masayoshi Son said that he started a solar panel generation of electricity business for abandoning nuclear power generation. There are no problem that a rich man starts his own business, but there are a lot of arguments for and against. I think this fact demonstrate two things, the high level of Japanese people's interest about energy policy and a doubt about solar panel generation. The better person than Yoshito Hori to have a discussion about Japanese energy policy may exist but others couldn't say adverse opinion to abandoning nuclear power generation. Yoshito Hori stated openly and squarely his own opinion that agree to nuclear power generation, in this point he is really allegiance and honesty. However, he is strong leader of the most famous MBA school in Japan, so he had capacity to identify Japanese leader himself enough. In case of Masayoshi Son, we don't need to identify him a Japan's leader because it's too much clear.

I was looking for this two leader's conversation because I have interest about Japanese energy policy. In addition to that, I'm against to Masayoshi Son's idea, so I wanted Yoshito Hori beat him with straight logic. It was regret but it never happened because of difference of qualities as a leader....

Around my desk, two mobile phones, an iPod, Panasonic digital camera and powered watch. There are many electronics and they are working very well help me a lot.

Do you know how they work? I know some of them to an extent, but I don't know all of them. In case of Internet, I don't know how it connect to other computers even though, I use it everyday. The world is so complicated and everything depends on each other. I must keep on studying for constructing what can be toothed wheel of society.

Run out of fuel

One week left after I restarted writing this blog. What I feared the most happened. I've already run out of fuel for writing this blog.

As you know, it's the fourth time challenge for me to keep on writing a blog post everyday. Therefore, I know its difficulty a lot. It's seriously hard, I believe you can understand this difficulty after one week writing. My professor is keeping on writing his blog for 4 years, so I respect him with all my heart.

I think it depends on 3 things, muchness of input, writing skill and strength of will. These points are control a number of blog post. I manducate everyday's various input and try to translate into my blog post with writing skill. If these amounts are enough, making blog post everyday is really easy. In many cases, it's not so easy. Writing skill is not high, so I need much amount of resources. Then, strength of will works, it manage to finish. It's like ultimate weapon.

I mean that run out of fuel is run out of input for writing a blog post. Therefore, here is the real start point, because this is the training to grow my strength of will.

Bugs Alive

Bugs Alive in my program. What a vital bugs they are! They always exist as if they owned the place, even though I thought that finally I've squashed them at all.

Program and programming had been become larger and larger, so one person can't make it one program by oneself. He or she would borrow a power of acknowledged library like jQuery or etc. to a greater or lesser. Therefore, it had been become complicated. The bugs can emerge in gap of entangled strings.

The way to clean them all is only two. Always to figure out program's entire picture and its essence and always to take care strings not to get entangled. It's similar to keep a room clean.

The difficulty of programming is that one small mistake can brake everything. If you missed one comma on your program, it is garbage at all. Machines never allow us to make any mistakes. Please remember your life, have not you made any mistake in your life? In case of me, I've made much mistakes in my life. I think that to be perfect is impossible.

However, I can agree that concept "one thing can change everything." Accumulation of small details always compose totality. On this point, machines and humans may be not so different, machines are a little bit more crusty than humans.

Lion Mac mini

Finally I got new Mac mini. This product is just what I eagerly waited product.

I'll use this Mac mini as a living room PC, connecting it to TV and 5.1ch surround system. My TV that is hardly used will be used to the maximum.

Recently, digital broadcasting completely replaced analog broadcasting in Japan. It means TV must be total entertainment center, but all TV still can't be like that. I want to research possibility of TV and PC with this Mac mini.

If I wanna train myself, everything has to be done by me, essentially others can't help anything.

Professors always advise, suggest, direct and mentor me, but I have to notice it by myself. I was taught it by my full respect professors.

As you know?, I am a chief coach of elementary school's soccer club, my team has over 70 members. Simple disciplines and simple words I always try to give them, my team's teaching way is really kind, I think, but conclusively they have to realize that they have to find themselves. It's similar situation with this. (It shows that still I'm on the way to go further.)

This time I did one mistake. I said one, I researched till three and I did till seven. I thought it was enough, because I was so busy with lots of works. However it was not enough at all. My professor call for hundred on me.

At first, I thought it's a crazy task, but now I look back it, he is absolutely right. Human is born tired, the lazy DNA try to skip hard work. Near goal make people more slow, small object make people more small. If I want to be a leader, I must overcome it. Luckily I have great back that I must follow and overcome. I'll keep try.

appexchange conference

Do you know "salesforce"? If you are IT department people or Toyota related company's businessman, maybe you know it.

It's a symbolic company for cloud computing service, and appexchange is the marketplace of salesforce's cloud computing service. Today I participated its conference.

Participants are really many, I guess it's over 300 people. They are IT department people, CEOs of small sized companies, sales department people or office workers, I felt they wanted to catch the current tide. An air of excitement in conference room directly shows power of salesforce. Just from outside, everyone can easily estimate organizer's scale of economy.

On the other hand, small software venders of appexchange had a presentation booth and enthusiastically introduce their application that is working on salesforce's cloud in conference. Their presentation was banal and not interesting.

It's just like MacAppstore for Apple. There are many applications but most of them are useless and meaningless. However, salesforce don't take care about it. It's because for them only competitions on their platform have meaning. Today I realized platform has strong power in Information society.

Honestly I escaped from writing my blog because of its tiredness and hardness. I guess you may underestimate its difficulty of writing a blog with over 800 words per one post. I can only say "Extreme".

Someone might say that writing a blog everyday dilute amount of contents in one post. Answer is really easy, it's no mean, it's only training (unbelievable hard training), so I don't care dilution and readers. I'll write for myself.

It's my third time challenge. (easily you can understand how many times I escaped)

Last week, I and my Korean best friends got Judge's Special Award of Fujitsu Design Award 2011.

I attended the ceremony of that award as a representative of us because my friends couldn't participate it.

Honestly I was very happy that we were selected as a prize winner because it was first time for me.

However, it proved we were not first place. It's my genuine complex. "Number 1" this word's sound is great, but I have never gotten it, absolutely.

Basically I love myself and I hardly envy others because I trust that I have superiority to others in case of total power.

It shows I'm just jack of all trades and master of none. Always I think I have to be professional, but it's really difficult.

After all, windows is senseless.

I went to my family home last weekend and setup my father's windows 7.

I told him that he should buy iMac again and again but he bought win computer. He can't setup his own computer so he always asked others (recently others means me) to setup it, but he didn't listen my advice.

Totally I can't understand his thinking because I'm heavy apple user, as you know. It was useless to convince him to use it. He was stubborn. At that time I realized it's similar to religion. After realization I stopped complaining and started setting up his computer.

However, I couldn't finish it due to time limit. It was really annoying for me accustomed to Mac OS. In case of Mac OS, I don't need time and description paper, I need only some clicks. On the other hand, in case of windows I need time and tolerance with thick description book.

I don't want to criticize windows at all (I know windows' a few good points and some apple's bad points), but they should make senseful computer for beginners. Still computers are only for geeks.

Today my professor said about things for students to do. He said that students must play fair.

I was surprised at that words. It's because it was the same words with my grand father's life lesson.

My grand father is not a great person as well as my professor but he is one of the most important person in my life. He always support me without words, it helped me a lot, but sometimes he said to me "Always play fair." Therefore, I remember this words strongly.

If I play fair, the results will be made only by myself, responsibility is only for me. Sometime I can get notice from own behavior, if I did not good behave. To live free, play fair.

Throat ache

These days I realized human body is honest.

If I ate too much, the next day or two days after I got fat, or if I stayed up late, next day I felt too sleepy. It means I'm not young already, my body can't do so hard work.

However, body's honesty is so good tool to judge own lifestyle that we should take care of it. It's because lifestyle represent ourself.

Now I got a throat ache. It means I hadn't had enough time to write blog articles because of resent busyness. I have to change my whole lifestyle to be better.

Products and human

I think Products affect human's deep psyche. It's too deep so often we can't understand.

Sometime commonsense about a product came from mistake of design. Long history of using miss-designed products built mental model inside of people's mind.

Many people including me don't realize it and use it without a doubt, but in rare cases a star designer realize it and make a new design. Then, if new design is bad, people don't accept it, so it despair in the history, if it's good people accept it with reluctance and gradually become popular.

From this thinking, I think of two things. One is that first design should be considered by long term thinking. The other is that we should know what is good design or bad design.

Lifestyle and Products

These days I remembered dreams I saw in before night. Every night I swam in a deep sea freely with blonde mermaid. In the past I haven't experienced like that, so I didn't know why I had this kinds of dreams.

However, I realized changes of my lifestyle when I thought about of my recent days, it meant from the time I came back to Japan from Korea. The changes of my lifestyle was that I changed my mattress for better sleeping.

As I recall, the time I changed it is the same with the time I dreamed sea dream. Then I think my mattress make me sea dream. Till now I slept on a Japanese-style bedding, but I decided to sleep on western style bed.

In other words, products can affect human's deep psyche. I think there are many other examples.

Do you know this song? This song is made by autotuned voices of Grasse Tyson, Richard Feynman, Carl Sagan and Bill Nye, super star scientists.

Symphony of Science, a project to spread knowledge of science and philosophy is making songs like this. They have good sense, beautiful melody and wisdom lyrics. I knew this website from the Progressive Inclusive Design lecture conducted by Prof. Kanaya. It was interesting.

Science is close and distant existence to human. I think the problem about nuclear plant is connected to this. We didn't know exact how to generate electricity we everyday use.

Therefore, I think we have to study science again and we have to know about it.

I'm still on my way.

I know I'm still on my way. Therefore, I shouldn't be emotional yo - yo by small success and small miss.

The most important point is what I want to be. Always I'm saying like that to kids whom I teach soccer. So I know it, but small despair break me down.

It will take a little bit long time to heal wounds, but I have to change my mind and stand up again.

I don't know the end of this way but I have to advance my steps to go forward.

Leadership

I became my lab's leader. I am the oldest and the most experienced one in my lab.

Always I thought, a leader must take all responsibilities for the team, but I realized it's really hard. At first, I have to think about how to take a responsibility.

In the past, I was the vice captain of soccer team and the president of student council, but those experiences are hardly help me. I guess I was young and they are jejune.

Now I'm on my way to be a greater leader. It's hard and long, but valuable to walk.

Current Japanese Prime Minister is ineligible to a national leader. It's clear but hard to say about exact reasons. I'll study his failure.

Coming back to Japan.

I came back to Japan but these days I was extremely busy, so I couldn't make a time to upload blog articles.

After all I realized the greatness of my teacher who upload his blog everyday.

To carry out one's word is really hard. Tiredness, lack of time and lack of ideas, there are many reasons and excuses for me. However all of them are from my weakness.

I want to be a strong leader someday, so I want to overcome myself by uploading this blog everyday. I don't know till when I can keep it on, but I want to try my limit.

My professor advise me to write a blog in English, so I quit to upload Japanese version. If you can have a time to check my challenge blog, I'll be happy.

Trip to Gyeounju -慶州への旅-

Bulguksa

My friends brought me Gyeounju on my last weekend in Korea.

Gyeounju is the historical culture city located in South part of Korea. There are a lot of heritage of Silla Kingdom. It's similar to Kyoto and Nara in Japan as a ancient capital.

Korean friends said there were good old street landscape in Gyeounju. It's different from Daejeon I lived in.

I'll write my impression about historical things later, I want to describe my impression about trip. New people and new things are there in trip. Trip is important for human life.

I appreciate for my friends. Thank you guys.

韓国での最後の週末に、友人に慶州に連れて行ってもらいました。

慶州は韓国の南部に位置する地方都市で歴史・文化的な遺産が多くあります。韓国が新羅・百済・高句麗の三国時代であった時の新羅の都市がありました。古都という点で日本の京都や奈良に近い雰囲気の街であると言えるでしょう。

韓国の友人曰く、慶州には古き良き韓国の街並があるということでしたが、全くその通りで私が住むデジョンとは趣の異なる都市でした。

多くの歴史遺産を回った感想は個別にして後に譲るとして、旅全体の感想を述べたいと思います。

新しいヒト・モノ・コトに出会う。旅は人生にとって必要不可欠だと改めて再認識しました。自分の知らない所では自分の知らない内に自分が知らない時間が進んでいる。立ち止まらず自分のやるべき事をやろうと思いました。

連れて行ってくれた友人達には心から感謝したいと思います。楽しい思い出をありがとう。

These days I often see my friends' photo taken by Instagram. This App is called Photo Twitter because it can upload photos with comments.

There were many similar App before, but I feel this App is a little bit special. It's because it can allow us to do many small but we wanted to do things.

Now I'm confusing because of large amount of social application. Having many different applications are annoying so I hope summarized App.

最近友人がInstagramで撮った写真を見る機会が多くなってきました。Instagramとは写真版のTwitterとも呼ばれており、写真にコメントを付記して共有するアプリです。

写真にコメントを付記して共有するサービスはこれまでもたくさん存在していたのですが、中でもinstagramの使用率が高いように感じます。

自分が考える理由はかゆい所に手が届くアプリと言うことでしょう。他の色々なサービスとの連携度が高いこと、無料で始められ広告等も見当たらないこと、フィルターをかけることで簡単におしゃれっぽい写真がとれることでしょうか。

最近は、ソーシャルアプリが数多くリリースされていて何がいいのか悪いのか混乱する程です。いくつものアプリを抱えるのは面倒なので、集約してくれればとも思います。
